this is it welcome to the circuit to catalonia barcelona for the three races held across two days that will decide the outcome of all three classes of gt world challenge europe’s sprint cup it’s all very tight at the top and every lap must count as there’s absolutely everything to play for last time out at sanford there was tremendous racing in both events with the second race led away by emil fry racing’s lamborghinis they got through tarzan all right but unfortunately for christopher haaser he was spun around in the santa love racing audi by julio’s bentley somehow just somehow everyone behind managed to avoid him by the time the field got to huguen whole spot kelvin van der linden died up into second place but albert costa was not impressed and fancied getting back as soon as he could he had a look up the inside almost contact between them and then kelvin van der linde went on the attack dive down into the lead past the lead lamborghini but unfortunately into the gravel he ran through the gravel trap and by the time he rejoined it was very tight indeed felipe fraga demoted him and then poor jugunion pushed off into the gravel on the outside in the green cmr bentley the awaker brothers audi also stood off the circuit and things were getting very tricky indeed with the number of fight back starting early on then came the pit stops all neat and tidy there and giacomo alto taking over from albert costa and emerging into the lead of the race looking good for lamborghinis but the 32 audi’s staying out for a long first stint unfortunately a little light rain put vanity in pierberg and that car had been as high as fifth place but one of the drive backs through the field was arta rougier picking his way up the order giacomo altoy all over the tail of dries van tour towards the end of the race and at the end it was the audi still in front but a pit stop infringement led to a 30-second penalty being added to them after the race and that meant the first win of the year for the 163 lamborghini and celebrations on the podium were very very well deserved indeed out racing teams morrow engel and lucas stoltz have been fast and consistent and they are really really competitive second overall but they find themselves surprised to still be in the mix having missed the last round exactly well for us it’s great to still be in the hunt um obviously uh we missed landfords uh with that double weekend clash so uh we weren’t really expecting to still be uh in this position coming into barcelona so it’s great for us to be there um just gonna try and do the best we can in both races in all three races sorry and i think we have nothing to lose so i think it’s a great position to be in japanese racer riachiro tamita has made an impressive impact in his first year of racing in europe and he and his teammate kelvin van der linde took their first win in style last time out at southport every time in the i’m driving the first time in every circuit and beginning it it’s so difficult i couldn’t confidence but now it’s getting better and so we are getting ringing i feel more confident but then every time i shoot running it’s easy difficult but so it is always i i know the young belgian duo of charlevoix and greece van tour arrived for the triple header finale in barcelona with a six and a half point lead but there are 52 and a half up for grabs i think we ended up with his solid season um we lead as we said during the whole the whole season so let’s just try to keep it like this i believe we have a strong car and a strong lineup so let’s see what this weekend will bring us stephen palette and simon gashe not only lead the silver cup rankings for santa lot racing but they were outright winners at manipur and know that they have what it takes to take the silver cup honest this could be their weekend yeah you know to be honest uh as you told uh uh trophy is closed but we have need to be focused on this meeting you know this year it’s a bit special this weekend it’s the last one but it’s three races to to finish and to score uh beginning of the year was good we are a bit unlucky with uh with some trouble but we are on the paper show german racing brothers hamza and yusuf awaga continue to show increasing pace in the silver cup but they know that make no mistakes at all this weekend to be honest we still have to work hard but we are doing it so we’ll see we need

to drive clean races to get good pit stop and yeah get the maximum out ezekiel perez compact of axel jefferies ranked second in the silver cup after winning in their brilliantly liveried mad panda motorsport mercedes in pizano back in august they’re looking for glory here yeah we’re quite happy to be here it’s our first time racing in barcelona we’re right there next to the truck our workshop is so we’re really looking forward to racing here sps automotive performances valentin pierberg arrives in spain third in the prime class after a brilliant run by nick foster took the mercedes as high as fifth overall into onboard this weekend balatin welcomes back regular teammate dominic bauman to the fold and is excited about what the weekend may bring so yeah i think we’ve uh we’ve been really successful in the last uh free practice uh we have a good car uh i think uh we’re only 4.5 points behind the second positioned car in the championship in the 4-m and i think if we do three clean races and finish and maybe pull off the first or second place that we can push forward to finish overall second i think that would be a great achievement despite winning the pro just once this year andrea bertollini and louis mcshields are always competitive in their af course of ferrari but need to win this weekend to have a tilt at the title we are struggling quite a lot with the tires with the pirelli tires but okay we will fight and okay we are in the same category we are the same ferraris should be the same so okay it’s a nice fight it’s a nice season till now not too many accidents but uh we will fight for it chris froggett and eddie cheever have enjoyed a fabulous season of the head of the prime class in their sky tempesta racing ferrari to arrive here with a 31 point lead now they have to convert that advantage it’s a very competitive field and even our sister car i think is just behind us in the championship i know they’re two very very talented drivers so it’s not not being complacent but so far very lucky with how the season’s gone and uh no mistakes very pleasing at the minute there seems to be a lot of tie degradation uh first lap on a new set of tyres seemed good and then after that is a big big drop off so i think it’s very important that you nail that first laughing quality otherwise yeah uh the car is always not bad on its tyres i think for the race we should be okay it seems to be quite gentle on the tyres over the race but it’s going to be i think peak performance is going to be tough to extract so getting ready for the start of the first of not two but three races this weekend here the final round of the gt world challenge europe the sprint cup the field is coming down into the chicane the safety car will pull out of the way two by two they come 21 cars so let’s reiterate ricardo feller on pole position for the emil frye lamborghini team then alongside lucas stocks hrt mercedes he’s second in the championship jacob alto third in the second of the lamborghini’s and jim platt also like the pole sliding car running in the silver club cup class he will start from fourth and championship leader charles vitz down in eight with five out he’s tucked in behind it could be very very busy john down to the first corner so full field on the start finish straight and now we accelerate the second the lamborghini’s right under the tail towing themselves from first and third to first and second so that’s a really good move by emil fry racing it should be ricardo fellow leading down into the opening quarter where are the alleys in behind charlie it’s right in the middle of the pack that could be a bit risky outside if you’ve got yusuf baja contacts one of the audiences i’ve gone to the lamborghini’s got punched off so it’s come back on track and just got back in the lead in fact well i think actually we saw the green bentley nelson paciatici being pushed right that’s the nose of team of bogashlavsky but out front it’s still the two lamborghinis first and second and jim pla doesn’t fancy hanging around he’s going for silver club glory and he’s going up into second place in the akka asp 89 mercedes what a move from the french yes and even worse as the number four mercedes has been bumped down from second on the grid down to fourth and that is a situation which was not to the advantage the 32 rd is making progress so they are going to be very close and track well the important thing for charles v is he started six places down on his championship rival lucas stoltz now stalls is only just in front of the nose of fears has done well gained three places absolutely that’s what he had to do and do it without having any contact he succeeded so he’s now on to the rear wing of the mercedes that what he can do beyond that as the cars continue midway through this opening lap so it’s lamborghini mercedes lamborghini mercedes

audi and then the volkovsky in the 88 mercedes in sixth place just riding on board the 93 sky tempest racing ferrari chris froggett running in the lead of the prime class he’s 14 the next car in class is four positions further back it’s the second of the ferraris af course is lewis machia louis michiel so it’s going very very well for the british racer not so well for the belgium at the moment then the valentin pierberg and the mould they’re bringing up the rear 20th 21st their last two cars in the field what was that all about the back end just snapped under braking i don’t i think he might have snapped we saw it from on board all of a sudden he’s got handfuls of steering lock this is going to be a full course yellow initially and might be a safety car intervention watch again no that’s a rear brake snatching and turning at the same time nothing he could do once the car’s broken trends you all the grip had gone he was just a passenger as nature took over the forces took over and into the gravel trap he went now the field slowing right down obviously full course yellow so let’s reiterate the order ricardo fella jim pla two silver cup runners lamborghini ahead of mercedes at the top of the field giacomo alto in the second the lamborghini’s in third and lucas stone’s fourth timor bogaslicki had moved back ahead of charlevoix chavez started eight got up to fifth back to six but now again lucas starts losing a little bit of ground to jacomo out riding with the fourth place car down the street john your spot on those lamborghinis super sleek in a straight line yeah and again looking so slightly again you see trying to come out from the slip strip under jimmy flowers mercedes into turn one and again and i don’t know why lucas does not quite on the program safety car procedure of car investigation safety car procedure car 25 under investigation okay now this is important because our something may have happened but what we saw just after the safety car procedure arteries got ahead of it did he do it before the start finish line that is under investigation arteries seventh is now six let’s watch again look at the back end of the shot we’ve got uh an overtake isn’t it there is a white line across the track but it isn’t the right one that’s not the same that is cut and dry correct absolutely bang to the right so that one i think the lamborghini 163 jacob altay will be the first of those lead group cars into the pit lane because they were preparing the pit lane for a stop let’s have a look and see does it peel off or not yes it does and so does lucas stones well obviously the next one’s got to be well it’s not a steam of vargas he’s coming in so threes fans don’t reach my throat yeah well there we go so third fourth and fifth reporting into the pit lane um in fact both the lamborghinis came in so what we saw just sweeping out of the corner was the first one going in so jim platt leads the race so far we did see those two pit boards for that bikini but that was just bringing the front of the garage i could certainly think that 163 was going to come in i was a bit surprised fella didn’t stay for another lap i would have kept fellaini personally because i don’t like the idea of double stacking there’s not a lot of room to work as we should finally reese van thor is going to get into that number 32 as one lamborghini slides down the pit and that’s the 163 albert costa the very very speedy albert costa but which car is this coming down the fitness first that is that 6163 lamborghini difficult to tell looking into the headlights so there is the street thor ruling directly behind the car that has been following for the entire race yeah but the good thing about that from um the point of view of trees fantaur is he’s only one position now behind the car he needs to get ahead of he’s got clear line of sight in fact asp got raphia marcelo in front off that pit stop of the stoltz car so they’ve lost lost grounded uh viet’s hand over to but drowned back the right thing they picked up one position because we think that the 25 audi is going to be under investigation anyway drive-through penalty to cart 25 overtaking two cars and the safety car procedure well there’s the penalty we sort of expected to come after rouget’s way he’s been a great racer but he was a little too racy just then bruce what i thought needed to happen was marcelo get ahead of heaters now that’s allowed uh marijuana to close up to the back of the 89 he now needs to find a way past to gain that extra advantage of having one car between himself and the 32 rd here we see the pa in fact it was it wasn’t the pass he just gave it up look at look at the threes from thor diving one way diving the other coming into turn five now here’s my opportunity i’m right

behind that mercedes as i come on to start finish straight i’ve got to pick up figure two that i’ve done at any point and i’m going to think about making a move down the inside it’ll be defended by marrow engel if he sees the audi go out to the right there’s the move the counter move from angle but griezmann thor well he must have thought all his sons came in one corner as they went through 14 and 15 now let’s have a look at a let through taking place because suddenly albert koster in the lead of the race just gone past john how did that happen i don’t know maybe they’re listening to our broadcast let the man from barcelona win the race now leading the pro-am class it’s andrea bertolini but dominic baumann now right onto his tail the sps automotive performance mercedes has caught the af course of ferrari but bertollini so much experience racing ferraris has stopped as in the spin or it’s a mechanical issue it looks like there may be something bearing under the hood because look at look at juguno he is absolutely trying to get the lid off to see what the problem is look at marlowe angle right on the tail of the number 89 mercedes as they come through turn 12 into 13 then the drop down into this very tight left right again so oh it’s very tight indeed i think that we’re going to see marouane go try and do something that’s going to be very late in the day if he can he’s not close enough to take that position away from benjamin he does lamborghini’s first and second rapper marcelo third for mercedes super super close behind but the chequered flag is out and the championship has been given a shaking because the championship oh unfortunately for dominic bauman challenging don’t forget we saw him right on the tail of bertollini he has spun out and there’s a helping hand there has been contact left up into second place but delight to daniel fry racing they found out how to win at sam they’ve done it all over again with the same car 163 yeah well let’s go down very very happy winning combination the one-sixth screw albert costa and jacob albert fantastic resort i’ll bear for you this really means a lot to have a home win yeah um to win at home is amazing unfortunately there is no public so i cannot celebrate with my family friends girlfriend but yeah win is a win i think we are more or less in the fight for the championship still there two races tomorrow uh we need to keep focused it’s only a win and tomorrow we can go for the championship so keep on this way of work uh very lucky because in the last lap i had something broke in the car only yeah yeah so very very lucky because i get i get it back to the end so now it’s time for the mr really proud of albert for finishing it but you started off that race yeah the start was good then there was a bit of dangerous situation i managed to don’t make any mistake and to try to to bring the car home on the pistol well and then albert did a great job so thank you for the team uh to the team to albert and to everyone that helped us to do this result well here here is the uh final position of the first the three out three one one-hour races here in barcelona and jacob i’ll say voters all round but they’ve got to try and replicate that in both of tomorrow’s races it’s a glorious day to go racing we’ve got two of the three races here this weekend here is the evidence of albert costa and giacomo alto rise up into fourth place overall we have still 35 points to play for so take 35 points off dries van tour and charles vietz our leaders and you can see all the way down to miko grenier in eighth place these people could all take a tilt at the title so on pole position is albert costa alongside the white of blue mercedes rafa martiello all attempted racing audi vervish and drudy on row two but row three and a immediately it didn’t work at all with fred vervice they’re trying to get around the pole starter but albert costa leads down to turn one almost clattered the back of him john yeah that was a very anticipated start look at the mercedes number four trying to barge his way between the attempt to contact and miro engel has managed to get ahead of the 88 and ties up his contact and one of the artists i couldn’t see who’s that one was i think it was matar trudy he was on the right hand side of the grid but tomorrow angle that’s a marvelous start up into second rapid marchello second back to about fourth or fifth the lexus got pushed wide as well with the attempt to out he went out but albert costa took a win yesterday leading today we’ve got one of the attempts is still in there but up into fourth place it’s a good game as well madrid’s factory did what he had to do but look down audi on the outside of 88 going into turn five coming down the hill so look there is ron can he go right the outside of 32 arty very very unlikely he’s going to be but he’s had to fall back in the line but he’s managed to get back in line just ahead of kelvin vandalinder so there is uh raphaeli marcelo i think he was wrong footed for that semi almost false jump start by frederic and that allowed the number four mercedes to take

that opportunity to get away clear particularly of the 32 body the principle contains what they have to deal with in the battle of the championship well we’ve got a pro dr driver running up in green radiate coming up from about 11th and he hits the tail of the prohab driver i was talking about eddie chief but that was not fair on shiva at i guarantee you that’ll be a penalty to the lamborghini that the 14 lamborghini that was an avoidable incident although suddenly we’ve got morrow angles slowing because frederic looks he just swept around the outside as they came close to the camera then let’s swing around and see what we can see but yes but this goes into second place couldn’t see where a mistake could come from coming out of turn three but engel wasn’t going very fast at all is there a problem with the car dry true penalty car 14 causing a collision well there we are we didn’t expect that as to be a surprise at all it wasn’t a surprise because miko grenier he’ll have to hold his hand up he got it wrong unfortunately for sky 10 pester racing theirs was the car he hit but out of seventh place will come grenier to serve that drive through now let’s get that move done but unfortunately you have to do breaking and steering for a corner and for for eddie chiva tuna he must have been patting himself on the back this is all going very well i’ve gained two positions here the superstar and again totally the innocent victim now there is a thought that’s uh john you’re quite right remember at the start of the race tomorrow angle didn’t quite get across turns one and two already and he gained he gained the position by doing so so that is why he backed off let fred vervish come through from a race control it was a let through there we go maro angles come in fred ravishes also in so at the earliest opportunity second and third place cars into the pit lane and for both cars to me a relatively early stop but of course they have got other things on their mind particularly the number four mercedes-benz is going to be handed over to lucas stalls and that was a handover we hadn’t now been confirmed by race director because of that incident and the opening lap in turns one so albert costa leads the way dries fanta up into second place not by overtaking but by did to those who came in the pit but john the pit stops car number four coming back out car 66 out in front nicolas scholl actually seems to have gained a tiny advantage that’s what i was just about to say that looked to me like wr i’m sorry attempt to god maybe a couple of seconds gain over the number four hrt mercedes a good stop by emil frey so jacob orton gets into the car and is on his way down the pit lane but where a bunch will the 50s at 55 rdp 50 66 should be coming over the hill coming over the hill it is so it looks almost exactly the gap as it was before first second and third in that order i’ll tell you what the 66 car has actually gained absolutely that has been very very positive for nicolas schuller young austrian right on the tail of course this is the moment the drivers come out he’s just trying to get themselves settled in and for giacomo alto he has got to be right on it from the very outset in the background the stop shot you said luka stoltz getting faster and faster oh oh that’s the mole unfortunately just into the car [Applause] such a tricky corner yesterday when it was greasy and damp it was horrible but he’s oh it’s not turned five oh there’s no it’s just four four and then yeah so he came out on the tail of that battle on cold tires maybe just joined in a little too he was overtaken by ricardo pela on the exit of turn three and maybe just got caught out there you see the back of the car about to swing where is it he’s coming in 20 seconds full course yellow 20 seconds green green green signaling to the pits tenths of a second really really count good restart from albert jacobo altoy albert costa will be watching on the gang screen in the garage he knows look at the clock 15 minutes remaining in this race the lead over the start finish line half a second that’s important nicholas scholl wants to attack wasn’t close enough nobody yet making moves it behind you 18 speeding one or other that’s the car down at the tail on the field haven’t been dropped in the gravel so in fact to drive through penalty it’ll cost them position but not points chris frogan all over the back of louis mckees up through turn seven then across in the inside through eight short shifts up the hill into turn nine off the gas watch this car was pretty quick actually in the hands of an achiever he’s closed he’s closed he’s not gonna have a run down the hill into turn ten which side you’re going to go back heels hog in the middle of the road the shield’s really really twitchy on the exit of cancer and get alongside side by side into turn 11 who’s going to come out in front it’s the sky pesto

yeah the move is already done just a little too deep into the corner there from louis michiels but he made the mistake at the top of the hill and that it looked so done enough to block it but frogger wasn’t taking no for an answer there this recovery drive from chris frogger is bearing fruit the second in proam on the track but gathering the points that uh will give them what they need and we’ve been talking about the prime honours but in the silver cup 26 stephen palette simon gashey they started the race with a an advantage of 25 points and that will put it in the bag for them they just need to secure it he’s ahead of axel jefferies on the circuit that uh is all he needed to do to take it the season includes an overall win for this duo jacob say has got this one in the bag for emma frye racing but alton costa that is a rather good winning sequence three in a row just got to go around the final corner for the last time he’s in behind the erc sport mercedes will sweep past it doesn’t need to sweep past it but does anyhow so emil fry racing right into the championship mix for the final race of the season and in behind chris froggen he’s already he’s getting started he’s got to win the prime class with a pro and victory which is exactly what he wants and oh very tight at the finish to meet her trying to go past pogba schleicher to take sick fifth place but at the end victory for the emil fry racing lamborghini but look at the order at the end of the race it was another lamborghini win jacqueline alto bringing it home albert costa sharing that 2.8 seconds of course it closed up with that late safety car period but fred for beats brilliant at the start nicholas scholl rock solid to the end of the race to take second place maro engel and lucas stoltz they put the points in the bag through the fact they lost to second place therese vantour and charles beats they did what they had to do they started seventh they came fourth so really good run for them let’s get into our winners albert costa and jacob o’altery albert jacobo fantastic two races two wins and that really puts the fight on for the the final race this afternoon yeah this has been amazing um it’s a dream now uh first of all i want to say uh this race is for laura laura was a co-driver from a rally that he she lost his her life yesterday in a very bad accident and she was only 21 so almost families with her i raised for her for her family friends and this is for all of them so we it’s for her and yeah we’re in the race i’m really happy unfortunately the situation we have but now still want to race and we need to go for it absolutely and only three and a half points in it for the championship jacob yeah exactly uh three or four three and a half apparently okay that’s amazing i didn’t know it um yeah for of course we need to stay focused for the next race and keep working because the job is still not done and but i’m really happy for for us and for the team so let’s keep pushing well done thank you very much well very nice tribute to rally co driver lyra who was killed yesterday unfortunately but what a run for the mlp racing team absolutely brilliant first from the start of the race and made it pay pole position always pays here but there seems to be performance in hand for the dynamic duo of albert costa and giacomo altoy and in the sky 10 pester racing world it smiles around 31 30 points to good there aren’t 34 30 points up to play so for eddie cheever and chris froggett they are the pram winners today and the prem champions for 2020 in the sprint club let’s hear from them eddie chris champions that is it you did everything you needed to do despite a very difficult start yeah it was crazy start i had a super start and i just somebody hit me from behind and we came from last got to the pack and chris did the rest he did amazing and overtook the p1 car on the last i think three corners just perfect and it’s much better to win a championship winning the race also so it’s i’m really happy and i’m proud of him he just started racing four years ago and the way he’s driving is unbelievable absolutely we get to see that smile perhaps now chris yeah absolutely i’m ecstatic i mean stressful the beginning i saw eddie get hit and you know after yesterday i was sort of a little bit not again but we pushed through we were lucky with the safety car being able to get bunched up with everyone and just tried my best tried my best and thankfully everything came through congratulations well done thank you but for jacomo i’ll say and albert costa they know their way to the winning podium the winning step on the podium pick up the golden trophies for what is looking a very good end to their season and we are all ready for the final race of the 2020

gt world challenge europe sprint cup and we’ve just received some news coming up from race control that uh the race order for race two the one we enjoyed this morning has been amended because there’s been two cars at the top end of the field that have been struck so nicolas scholl and fred lavish promoted into that first position giacomo alto and teammate albert costa ending up way down the orders and uh charles it was a pit stop infringement both for them and the number four mercedes crew from hrt so charlpie it’s finished with jesus fantory fourth place they now go up to second and that really has given the championship table a massive shake up it got really compressed we were all set for an amazing finale but with two of the top point scorers being shoved down to 16th and 17th overall it was a pit stop infringement with the drivers and leaving the pits with not all as it should have been so here is the pit stop that looked as though it was the winning pit stop albert costa out the taller figure of jacob altoy gets in they went on to win the race controlled it ran it beautifully but for lucas starts and marrow angle they came home in third place they also committed an infringement in the pitch job yes rian just we understand that there was the spy in the cab that defined the issue and it was around the headrest but maybe the hands so not positioned correctly and adjustments being made on these outlaps that has led to the penalties being imposed 35 second penalty for both teams and a dynamic change to the outcome of the result but also through the potential championship positions well i spent the the lunch break working at the points those have all had to be changed and now what i can tell you there are only two contenders dressed van tour and charles vitz instead of having cars just three points and three and a half four points behind them they’ve just got timo bogaslevski the only outside contender now he needs to get on the podium even if dries van tour and charlie failed to score and then he can take the championship his teammate rafaeli marcelo is down in fourth place because he didn’t do all of the rounds but suddenly for dries van talk it was looking like a really big mountain to climb and suddenly the whole landscape has changed for them in a sense it’s been served up in the plate but they haven’t done they’ve done nothing wrong the teams that were penalized look motorsport is run by rules and regulations there are infringements that happen on the racetrack which get penalized there are infringements in the pit lane which get penalized an infringement is an infringement very disappointing indeed for the finale the final race here of this championship to see it decided because of two infringements within the pit lane those are the regulations but well that’s that and we’ve had a lot of interviews this weekend with the very smiley albert costs but right now down on the grid we’re interviewing one that sadly isn’t albert the disappointment on your face is clear after the news just in yeah it’s a difficult one especially just before half an hour before the race you know and fighting for the championship we work really really hard to recover these these points to to to try to win we did everything we can and now just for um i would not say stupid because i don’t like the word but it’s our mistake at the end but it’s a bit you know to lose this because at the end we went on track the car is completely legal we are legal and we we get a penalty that it’s it’s a pain it’s a pain in the heart but anyway it’s still one race we will not win the championship mathematically but i’m gonna do my best i’m gonna try to enjoy i’m gonna try my my best for the team because they deserve it and to all the fans that they are not here sure can you explain for us a little bit more clearly what the penalty was for yeah the rules are clear i’ll trevor at the end the belt must be on the right position and apparently with giacomo i didn’t follow but i think it was a bit i don’t know it was over or was like on the reverse position but anyway um it’s a pity but anyway we need to reset now we have a race and i tried to do my best try and bring it home once again thank you thanks elba well i huge respect there for albert costa he just pulled down his pass to show he is still smiling underneath he’s accepted that with very very good grace and he said all we can do now is go and try and win the race and i have to take my hat off to him for that yeah what he is saying and for what i’m trying to understand from what he is saying is when the driver make a pit stop they wear a hands and neck device the the lap belts the shoulder belts of a six-point harness have to be over they so that there’s a lip on the other side of the hands device to ensure that that device itself stays in place and it would appear that when they made the change and the seat belts were being

attached that that may not have been fully in place and therefore as their driver was out on his outlap that would appear from the spy in the cab to see the driver trying to adjust to get everything correct yeah the official term for it was incorrect positioning of the driver’s front head restraint which is the bit running down in front of their shoulders we were told initially head rest but it was the head restraint which is the hands and neck device so an entirely different scenario for the 32 crew of dries van tour and charlotte but talk of dries fanta let’s talk to dries fanta he’s down on the grid with gemma in the sunshine and the sun shining all the brighter for him let’s hear from greece therese we meet once again on the grid here things are looking a little bit more insight as they were with the penalties that your competitors have suffered yeah i mean it’s to decide i guess sir so uh yeah what can i say i mean hopefully we have a we have a good and clean race uh hopefully some better pace the lumbers have been very fast all weekend so it’s been difficult to get to keep up with them um yeah let’s hope for a clean race to be honest and you’re starting yep gonna send it like i did the race before thank you very much tracy thank you thank you so dress fantaur you can almost imagine his gloves it will say send on the letters on the right hand i.t on the other send it but he’s got a much easier job of doing so he’s starting at the sharp end of the grid from third and he it is his race to lose along with charlie so don’t forget they’re not just trying to win the championship for the sprint cup they want to go for the whole hog and try and win the endurance series as well to become the overall winners for 2020 but right now the focus is on today and the sprint cup here at barcelona well yuzuki perez compact wishing everybody enjoy my race i love whatever safe race for everybody but of course the entire dynamic not just of this race but the outcome of these 10 rounds in the sprint championship has been turned upside down by those technical flaws by the two teams well they’ve made technical flaws and what we have is the the poll man we knew the identity of him and most remarkable qualifying run from rafaeli martiello he can’t win the title but his teammate timo bogaslavsky can he is the only one who can topple the belgian duo of viets and uh van tour and they’re starting from the best position to do that so rafaela marciello said he’s got a lot more responsibility he does and in fact at the start of race two the first of the two races today he had a poor start well just be talking about rafaeli marcelo and let’s talk to the driver who’s going to hand over to the other guy who could win this title and see that’s team of bogoslavsky down alongside pole position timor you’re still within a shout off the championship here so long as you finish on the podium how realistic does that feel at this point it’s not just from the us i mean uh if you win yeah it’s the maximum what we can do but the trees also need to finish the thing of b4 or p5 with the charge but yeah anyway is the really big level at this championship and if you was asking me four years ago when i just started my career from the nowhere from russia like you will can fight in the four years for the championship in the one of the best classes in the world with this level so i was not it’s too hard to believe i mean and but yeah we will try to do the maximum what we can so i hope you win the race and we will see rafaeli’s starting and he’s been an absolute fire all weekend the pace has been incredible you ever find the setup just before the qualifying i could see and uh yeah he did a bad start but it was what it was so yeah let’s see the race for you so thank you so indeed team of bogus has been quite a climb he’s only just 20 he’s his fourth season of racing started racing p3 prototypes but very quickly moved across the gt’s and he’s got a great person to learn alongside in rapper martiello undoubtedly but he does seem rather overwhelmed at the prospect because what’s happened was unexpected and timon was not the best of the other two that were subsequently penalized for the offense in race too so suddenly he spins thrust forward and there’s a different level of responsibility now on his shoulders because the car in full position is the car that potentially can lead up until the the entry into the pit lane for the mandatory pit stop and then pogrovsky’s got to take it over and after he comes gets in that car having been given the

overall lead and you’ve got the little audi behind or whoever else is behind dries van thor behind he’s going to have to stand up and deliver for the akka asp team i think he can i think he’s hurt enough now down from third row we want to pick out ezekiel perez compact fantastic qualifying for him by far the best we’ve seen from him he’s right in the mix of the front end he’s going to be the next car behind albert costa we heard from costa on the grid he’s going to go for victory he’s got to assuage the disappointment top runner in pro-am is eddie chiva down in the middle order of the grid ahead of oscar joe dominic pal bauman also fighting for those pro among us but we know the title already belongs to the sky 10 pester racing ferrari team andrea bertolini be looking to try and at least get one more pro am win this year for the af corsa ferrari team so there right the way down down to the back end of the grid there’s benjamin ultimate position but they’ve had great results this weekend including a fourth place so it’s been a weekend of up and down for that particular combination which implant doing the heavy spade work yeah i mean it very much has depended on where the car was qualified it was qualified very well by jimmy flower for the round one on saturday evening so it’s a slightly different situation qualifying today was a totally different condition so that one that we had on saturday and consequently different cars are out of position in relative terms to where they were for round one well champions already in the silver cup seem on gashay and stephen palette they wrapped it up with one round ago so they did it before lunchtime today and but i must say in the late stage of the championship oscar tunjo you support hacker they could yet take second place in class but of course ezekiel perez compact who seconded the championships qualified fifth so that’s given him a massive advantage undoubtedly i mean it makes their position a lot easier to consolidate than having to come through the field we know how difficult it is there’s such a compact field such a competitive field to find a way through and at barcelona which is one of the more notoriously difficult race tracks to make a clean overtake you can launch it down the inside you might get away with it we saw the 93 ferrari in the race earlier today being t-boned by michael grenier in number 14 lamborghini well just a confirmation there clear championship win with the one race still to run in the prime class for the sky 10 pacer racing ferrari you can see it just on the outside of a car that had until well half an hour ago been tilting for the championship the orange and black out racing team mercedes oh how things can change and up front though it’s rafale marcelo on the inside of the front row the outside of the front row is kelvin van der linde the black and white audi in third place on the grid fourth place the championship leader dries van tour albert costa the deflated albert costa on the outside of the second row the third row is ezekiel perish compact the leading silver cup driver with miko grenier the second of the lamborghini’s also in the silver cup but what is marcelo going to do from pole position the 20 car field comes around the final corner track conditions and it looks well hrt what was going on further back down the order we’ve got the lexus on the grass the ferrari against the ball on the outside thank goodness they’ve already wrapped up the championships that was a mess of a start freddie cheeva ravi marcelo’s fine at the front it looks though calvin van der linde is going to have a look around the outside that’s not going to work so fatima bogaslick he’ll be delighted his teammate has got through corner cutting from vandalinder that may yet elicit a penalty didn’t gain a position which is possibly a mitigating circumstance but looking back from the rear view of rafaeli martial he’s very very close indeed they’re already starting to make a little bit of a gap over drees fence or but safety car is coming out well there’s no surprise there with the ferrari against the wall in front i think that might have been triggered by the lexus because it was already out of position before they came across the point where the latch went green and that might have impacted literally and metaphorically on the 93 ferrari which then was find herself on the grass against the wall and rattle down the protection wall so car is out again having just secured their particular championship uh to just suddenly find themselves at the final race not even getting more than maybe a hundred meters here we go well you look in the middle of the pack shortly you’ll suddenly see the orange mercedes making a move before everyone else got going the lexus went on to the outside it was the orange mercedes coming back in the middle we lost to santiago county uh that got crushed there as well but the biggest crash was any cheaper that was a scary moment that was a full size i mean the the number four mercedes why had made such an aggressive move from right to left clipped the center lock and then that in turn apologies i thought it might have been the lexus because it also moved before the race really got underway so that was i’ve had question the number four mercedes-benz htp who are the responsible party for that incident well really unfortunate good to see that uh well safety car is gonna be taking the field through the pit lane of course when you get debris put on to the start for this train like that so the safety car leads the field through the pit lane

really messy starts this finale not at the front of the grid it was down the run among the middle order perhaps triggered simply because mario engel fancy getting on with it already frustrated by the penalty that’s cost him i would like i’d like to see it once again because i’m not sure whether marrow angle reacted to something on his right hand side and overreacted in a sense or whether he made a move because he thought i don’t know i need to because i was focusing more on the number four rather than what happened prior to number four making that move so it would need a further look at to see don’t want to play mario engel 100 but clearly it was the way that his car went from right to left aggressively that clipped the 25 center lock id and then the 93 ferrari well start under investigation that is a standard procedure but uh clearly with circumstance this time the flat bed moving into position to try and rescue the sky temp pester ferrari from top right and john have you spotted something there’s one there’s a vehicle on the middle of the racetrack just under the bridge and i don’t know that is a vehicle that’s working with something to do with the incident it’s the flatbed for the ferrari chalk okay it’s just a little bit away from where the ferrari is tied against the wall so i don’t know how they’re gonna get their ferrari out tied against the wall too anyway shards of sharp bodywork flipping at that that’s because he doesn’t want to go on the grass after all of yesterday’s rain of course so okay it’s got a long arm to turn up to the right to pick up the ferrari just on that shot i wonder what that was doing quite so far in the middle of the flag okay so we’re running behind safeguard let’s have another look at the replay we saw an early move or so it seemed to for morrow i think it was that recently was the uh i think it was the tork sport mercedes may well have it angled and that is what then i think triggered it off watch it again that was the turquoise and grey so there’s angle moving then the mercedes moves alongside comes across the front of angle who then springs shot so a lot of action going on and that midfield back yeah removed from engel he had already made a move because he got very very close to the car in front of him on the grid and then as he readjusted sunday in behind thought i’ll have a bit of that got on the grass tried to snap it onto the track and unfortunately all went very pear-shaped after that and a few sitting ducks out there yeah that’s why it’s always worth particularly at a start there is so much action going on you look at one part of it you missed the maybe the the actual story which was in fact the number four mercedes cutting diving in looking for a space contact with them the number four that they sorry the number yes the number four the two caught the number four let’s look at it again from this perspective this is a bit ahead of the incident panda mercedes going to the outside of the circuit a little bit giving just being cautious in this run didn’t want to waste that good grip position wanted to stay in there then it suddenly got very tight and we have seen little bits of body work flying off just remember though kelvin van der linde in second place ran off the circuit now but he didn’t gain anything so entirely there’ll be any any uh action taking this is looking forward from albert costa’s point of view he started fourth you can see pole man rafaeli marcelo taking the lead assuming that position ahead of van der linde down to turn one they go sun glinting off the body work but by denzel having that inside load and his nose from costa rica that wasn’t a push that was a shove okay a shove joint so the track is being cleaned up the cars are still running through the pit lane each time around behind the safety guard good to see we’re not good to see but uh the work has been fast the skytempest ferrari on the flatbed being taken away but when the cars came out of the pit lane the first time i know it’s a bit of bodywork bouncing up and down probably residue from there what hadn’t shaken free off the contact down at turn one could have been off the lamborghini don’t forget we saw that clatter the back of well vandalinder that way we didn’t see that from the live shot but clearly that’s the cause for kelvin brothers having to go off track he was given a major assist the rear wheels probably were lifted off the ground and the car then was just out of control momentarily until the wheels came back and then kelvin that linda was able to get the car back retains his second base no penalty whatsoever there may be a view about albert caster whether that was something that was avoidable but because it didn’t technically harm the 31 rd then i suspect it will be no action taken though john we could watch some other angles and find it maybe costa was given a shunt up the tail end as well absolutely but that’s not a portion too much one person who really lost a lot of ground in that unfortunately was ezekiel perez compact starting fifth he knows he’s running in the silver cup class wasn’t trying to get in anyone’s way but he lost it let’s take a look again the orange nose of the suddenly will jump out of line because yeah it’s very close to the santa lock audi in front of him but then oscar tucker tried to overtake him came back inside of angle who hit the side of ruggier and the fourth car effectively

like a ball bouncing around a pool table was again in effect it was the action of the number four mercedes appearing that then triggered the number two mercedes to follow suit so the number four mercedes was more or less mid-track look behind the orange mercedes for the gray and turquoise suddenly the two mercedes come together that then slams the nose and all of a sudden the number four mercedes is going from right to left into the 25 heidi which goes into the 93 ferrari but the more i look at it the first five rows really concertinate because the start wasn’t as they expected it and we had cars going around others and that was the moment at which cashing was about to hit the audi that was starting just in front of it what could he do nothing the responsibility lies with the drivers you’re not expected or permitted to anticipate the start of the race you have to hold position until the light squad the front row the grid is controlling this so therefore you should be in control of your position not trying to take advantage of or anticipate which is what was happening at the in the midfield yeah many many mitigating circumstances there but unfortunately for sky 10 pester racing it was over and out for them they were the absolute innocent party in all of that thank goodness from their point of view they came here to win the pro title they already had it in the back by winning the class in the second race now obviously at the start marcelo got it absolutely right from pole position van der linde car 31 the blackout he’s sweeping to the outside of the circuit we saw him go off he got a helping hand albert costa in the lamborghini hit him up the tail end therese van tour just trying to keep out of trouble he knows he has to finish this race just has to finish in the top 10 score a few points the championship is his along with his teammate charlotte’s look at it from behind vanderlinder in the audi is in second place albert costa swooping along vandalinder isn’t going to go inside the mercedes goes to the outside he’s got clear sight ahead of him does his breaking and someone else does uses his rear end that’s cost of just going too deep into the corner yeah i just couldn’t slow the lamborghini down sufficiently held on by the linda checked up because he had to do so to fall in behind the mercedes which caught on look at the damage totally unnecessary that makes it very bitter very very bittersweet now for chris frogger he’s got that title in the bag getting cheaper brilliantly to help him to that but they don’t want a battered car they’re still racing on in the endurance series they’ve got the spa 24 hours coming up so repair work there for the team from west london but uh happiness tinged with frustration well especially if you were doing nothing wrong you’re just sailing down on the left-hand side of the racetrack and all of a sudden you’re like a snooker ball just pinging you that was the audi the 25 body that hit the the ferrari and all of a sudden the effect was quite dramatic the fries just had nowhere to go got on the grass under control on the grass and then just ran all the way down the retaining concrete wall and taking lumps out of the left-hand side of the ferrari but granny popped into it and turned 10 so the lights will be off from the safety car this time around so raphaeli marcelo will control the restart when the safety car comes in at the end of this lap dries van tour sitting in behind him he’s got a head of kelvin van der linde in all that sorting out so the championship leader the driver who is uh potentially well definitely potentially more than definitely potentially heading for this type of got himself a position he has as the flag because he’s green in color and full speed racing again he’s got protection from behind he’s got the shotgun he has got kelvin van der linde sitting on his tail yes and undoubtedly that was an orchestrated situation because it is in the interest of wrt and audi to give greece van thor and charles reps every opportunity possible to take this championship they they’re running behind the one car right now that could deny them that opportunity so they need to max out as soon as possible and a very very good restart from rafaella you can be sure he’s going to stay out as long as he possibly can with every lap he’s going to eke a little bit more of an advantage in the previous race race number two of three uh for the gt we’ll challenge sprint cup runners here he was one set of tyres short and they really seemed to struggle a bit but now he’s got uh parity with everyone else and uh but he didn’t think he’d be trying to help his teammate really land the title with so many of their rivals who were right in the mix until those just pre-race disqualification disqualifications time penalties have really changed the field and it’s now just the two cars going out to play one’s not playing at all christopher harris bumped out at the start of the race repairs going into she didn’t understand between car 2 4 25 and 93 under investigation well there’s no surprise but i think when they review what they we have seen

a number of times now they will declare that the incident was initially the move of the number four car followed by the number two car and what’s happening here coming out of turn eight more contact dear me what’s going on what is going on well oscar tunjo has been in the battles his was the first of those cars named that was the car on the pitbull side and uh very very busy in behind but for oscar tonio it’s been going well this weekend but it seems to be unravelling but not unraveling at all for dress fanta he’s in that second place let’s give you the orders raphaeli marcelo leading from trees fanta by 1.3 seconds kelvin van der linde riding shotgun for team wrt just half a second in arrears in third place fourth place is albert costa just remember he was the driver who clattered into someone else down at turn one he may lose that fourth place matar trudy up into fifth mikhail granny in the second of the lamborghini’s in sixth he’s leading the silver cup class with seymour just a second down in seventh and right behind him car 66 fred vervice we thought he’d come second in race number two that’s this morning of course with the race winners alton and uh albert costa being given that penalty that dropped to 16 nicolas scholl and fred vavish winners of race two oh dear this is damage after contact ezekiel perez compact fell back from starting fifth and now has fallen back a whole lot more being fixed okay in that case that’s just written over there but there was shards of carbon fiber on the race track which is of course absolutely awful if you run over and it cuts through anything but particularly as a set of pirelli tires like a hot knife through butter yeah so for mad panda motorsport as we said earlier when they they get mad they get madder and uh right now though for our race leader rafaeli martial just easing his advantage out dries fentanyl very happy to sit there until they finish the race or his teammates do that second place will put the championship in the bag in fact even if bother schleich goes on to take over the 88 akka asp mercedes goes on to victory it’s a case of just getting in among the top four or five finishers for dries van tour and chavez and the job is done leading the prime class with the sky tempest ferrari out of the equation is dominick baum and he’s got phil keane tucked under his rear wing the battle between sps automotive performance their mercedes erc sport that uh ended up the last race in the gravel before being dragged out but certainly hill king can make that cast sing and make it fly as well of the top four cars only one could become that’s a problematic and that is the fourth base lamborghini albert costa the car that really has been flying all began but there we see both lamborghinis not leading the race and aren’t able to do anything about moving forward the two arties and the mercedes when they run in clear air they just drop those other brands but when they’re running in traffic as everybody else finds around barcelona it is a real difficult circuit to find a way through absolutely so but also i think it’s as the track temperatures got warmer and warmer i think they’re actually quite good on a low grip circuit but suddenly yesterday was cool and wet this morning when they went out for first qualifying and uh they took pole position it was cool and uh cool and dry and now the track is getting warmer and warmer still at the sharp end of the field but not as sharp as it is for the man who was the sharpest two of all all in qualifying rapper marcelo stretching his way clear fastest speed at the apex of turn nine that’s caps at top of the hill let’s see who has the prize at the moment kelvin van der linde third in the race rafael marcelo almost identical time he’s fastest all the queen guys right at the front of the order as well and it’s interesting to note that in qualifying not today but sorry the qualifying for race one on saturday afternoon we were seeing speeds up to 160 159.6 so whatever the track conditions are albeit that is probably still a lot warmer than it would have been for qualifying on saturday the speeds in turn nine are actually so rapper marciello 1.6 seconds clear last time around look so he’s stretched that somewhat on this lap looking at the intervals it’s all looking all very good i think you can get it out to two seconds to the good for akka asp throwing polycorn the team chief will be smiling in the pit lane let’s have a look oh two point zero zero eight of a second so we’ll call it two seconds that’s uh a pretty good gas you can see the gap is opening up but look again the lamborghini’s first and second fastest in the straight speed test down towards the first corner of the lap down that sloping start finish straight they’ve been super sleek all along but their speeds again slightly down on their very best actually but again it’s only maybe a kilometer or two kilometers an hour up on the three cars directly ahead and that is not sufficiently as a 10 kilometer advantage to be able to use that straight speed straight down speed to get alongside get down the inside and to turn one so what we’re seeing is the escaping raffiani martielo kelvin van linden linda second at the start of the race but he’s now dropped back behind his teammate that’s loyal that’s dutiful that’s what team wrt expects of him and he’s just providing a little cushion so that he’s not going to trip up threes fan tortures nice clean lines

through certain but a bit wide john well a little bit wide through seven i thought maybe he didn’t need to run that line he meant he had to run the curb in the transition but in turn seven and turn eight again going over that sausage curb on the inside you’d never really like to do that because it doesn’t do the underbody of a race car any good whatsoever so griezmann thor obviously anxious to keep in contact with the 88 mercedes that’s leading right now because the reason he’s doing it is he knows from the transition from marcelo to umsky and then when he hands his audi over to charles bench he doesn’t want that mercedes to have any gain on the racetrack they’re going to try and maybe turn that situation around in the pit stop but he has to keep as close as he possibly can up until the point where the pit lane opens and then what he wants now let’s have a look at the latest breaking for cars that made it around turn one so well drew’s fanta top of the charts at the moment six point one meters better not this time around that’s just generally they’ve gotten so far kelvin van der linde so those wrt out he’s very very good on the brakes santalot receivable gastro is not too bad either but it’s interesting our race leader eight meters deeper into the uh less deep into the corner bruce doesn’t need to have to say it i would be another five meters deeper than three span thought that was greater than the brakes but uh right now raphaeli marcelo stretching the advantage 2.3 seconds to go in fact raphael doesn’t even break at all that’s how good he is john but interested the way that the lamborghini can enter turn five slightly tighter softer entry into the corner and that the front end of the lamborghini has got very very good bit and now you can see that albert caster wants to get on terms with kelvin van der linde who is riding shotgun two drinks from thor but it’s not impossible if koster can get the momentum put kelvin madolina under pressure particularly out of turn nine down the hill here into turn ten not this time not close enough but he’s working at it he’s figuring it out that is his job at the moment then this little flick up through the hill over 11 and then 12 now how do you compare their cornering up here again the front end of that lamborghini really does turn in it’s that car has got a very good mechanical balance and you can see the audi kelvin mandolin the back end sort of has this very big snap over steer which if you can drive it it’s effective if you’re not one of those drivers who likes a nose your front a front end car not so easy so here we go once again coming across the line onto lap ten so what can cast to do he’s not catching the audi more or less you could say identical straight line speeds all bit maybe there’s one kilometer advantage to the lamborghini but it’s all too late to not get close enough down into turn one yeah he’s half a second down on kelvin van der linde and that is a beguiling gap almost close enough to get an advantage but not quite so he’s got to keep working at it but the driver who’s stretching clear gate another third of a second rafale rafaeli marcelo 2.762.7 seconds nearly to the good over drew’s fanta we talked about frontal wants to keep that gap as small as possible because then in the second half of the race it’s bogus slide ski again it’s not marchello against vancouver it’s bogashlovsky against charleviers and they have to assess which of those combinations are quicker but track position is going to be key and the the concern that birch will have is if burgers livestream comes into the pits and they cycle that 88 mercedes and gets back out effectively from the whole wash through the driver’s check in other words the 88 retains the lead back then and if somebody gets between then birds at the lead mercedes then suddenly it changes all again we could have a less predictable driver walking away from here champion john we could have another incident that uh one of the one of those leading crews has served its pit stop and then we get full course yellow where the other one’s in the pits and that could change the whole scenario as well is there abouts is there smoke coming from the back of the wagon brothers audi look something was making yeah i just can’t this is the 88 the lead car so it’s on its merry way but i thought there was something just there’s a group of cars coming down and it looked as if there was a little bit of well it was tired of rub okay now we were wondering about oscar tom joe that was the car that uh got on the grass at the start and it does seem to be the one that maybe triggered all that start finished straight uh incident on the opening lap we think there might be something flapping around off the side of his car oscar’s fallen down to 10th place overall it’s running 10th overall in fact there’s a game since the start of the race there we go look you can see it yeah it’s like a chimney it’s a rear tire over the right rear so that or maybe the right front i can’t quite see there’s so much coming off the right hand side front right from the driver’s point of

view low on the circuit that’s not going to help your handling and the weight has maximized the moment nothing like a flappy splitter no well who knows so race leader rafael marcelo he was 2.3 seconds clear he’s 2.87 seconds clear now stretching ever further clear kelvin van der linde running in third place still riding shotgun but being pushed very very hard by albert costa retired truly in fifth place mikhail grenier leading the silver cup class in sixth but he’s got company he’s got simon gashi no two and a half seconds in arrears but uh certainly for oscar tunjo it’s all going backwards there with that front splitter hanging loose so uh contact clearly now leading to vibration now leading to delamination so up step those behind the awake brothers but only one of them in the car at the time that’s joseph the older brother of the younger brother he is now up into 10th place dominic bowman’s followed through phil keane likewise and for bauman and phil keane this is the battle for proam honours it’s bauman in front for sps performance at the moment phil keane has been about this distance behind since the start of the race john yeah i mean it’s the same story you can catch but and you can follow but how do you get on terms so we’re at water just over a minute and a half away from the pit lane opening up so my view is that rafaeli martial will stay out as long as possible and i would imagine dries fun for in second place will follow it’s almost as if the second base car will not make a move until the lead car chooses to make its move and then you’ll see a battle in the pit lane between the two lead teams look i mean you can treat it like an individual race and obviously dries fantour and uh charles wants to win but they know that running running second and finishing second will be absolutely enough for them to take the title but that’s not how they’re wired they’re wired to try and win the race but they’ve got to see how long rafaeli martielo stays out as long as he as long as he can he’s gonna set as long as he can he’s just banged in the fastest first section of anybody but now suddenly we’ve got oh this is why you put a driver into a shotgun that’s van der linde protecting the wrt position albert costa he knows his pit stops coming up and i think his pride on a day that started brilliantly has ended in disappointment or got swung through this appointment he wants to at least pick him off because his session is almost at an end yeah i’m just watching this albert castle of the emmy live team are they getting ready is it for the four which car they’re looking at which of the two lamborghinis will make it into the pit lane first they may bring albert costa in i’m not sure that that’s the right thing to do but that would be their choice so we’re looking for number 14 which is the silver cup class leader he’s 3.1 seconds clear of semangashi so maybe that’s the one to bring in so that’s got to be sixth overall leading the silver cup class from the satellite racing audi of seaman gastro that is mikael grenier he’s going to hand over to ricardo fellow pit stop window not open but a couple of seconds there’s the message at the top of the screen pit window open not for rafaeli marcelo he’s too late and the first diver into the pits is john what’s the answer to that question that’s fred ravish well could well be and now we’ve got the lexus coming in as well but uh the van tour and van der linde staying out in second and third positions rafaelia marcello we know he’s going to keep staying out he’s 4.1 seconds good now he’s doing all he possibly can for team abogaslavsky his teammate who’s got this outside tilt of the title still in sight of dries van tour he’s got to keep him there but dries van tours run is coming to an end and there we have the first of the pit stoppers attempt to racing the tire trudy over to tomasso to get a ruling can’t get the thing started oh that’s frustrating hesitation whether it’s gonna have any bearing and the outcome ultimately is probably not gonna be dramatic but this is going to be dramatic as well but casa is getting very very agitated indeed thinks that kelvin bender linda is holding him back in fact defender linda’s doing nothing wrong he’s just driving his race and using his car and the racetrack to his advantage down the inside down to turn 10 lamborghini not close enough and at what point will vanderlinda be pulled into the pit will he have to stay out until three span thor comes in or will the team bring him in and do an offset never good to bring two cars on double stack i would think they’ll bring uh lee vanderlinder out there as long as they possibly can he’s doing a very very good job in that third place because look how the gap to his teammates stretched out to one and a half seconds all along the gap to the pacesetter raphaeli marcelo is growing but that doesn’t matter too much because vanda linda now must be sorry van thorne must now be laughing albert caster is in the pit lane well frustrated by being being tucked in behind kelvin van der linde he’s blinked first maybe they think they can hand it to giacomo alto we’ll be thinking very carefully about how he places his belts over the frontal head restraint before he rejoins the race

that will be something mandatory but also they’re coming in at the point where the pit lane is relatively on virtually only one or two other cars there is the lamborghini in so they’re going to get in do the change make sure everything is correct get on and is this that’s the undercut that they’re going to try if they can get back on with a relatively clear racetrack not having to be you know compromised by other cars around not again a broadway i thought it stole that he’s got it just to clip the clutch another car came thrust the bentley so oh dear it’s frustrating you do the best you can in a pit stop but then you have to hesitate slightly but i just want to say this man rafaeli marcelo he was 4.1 seconds clear by the end of the lap he was 4.8 seconds clear he gained two thirds of a second he’s doing absolutely everything he possibly can to give the biggest advantage to team at bogger streisand you couldn’t ask more from the job he’s doing there is actually something flapping away down on the left-hand flank as of the race leading 88 mercedes not sure no one’s really been close enough apart from a little challenge or a look going down from van der linde but i think that’s might be a bit of gaffer tape or something it doesn’t look as if there’s anything structural on the car nothing that’s going to be of any concern so gap well four points eight seconds when they came across the line at the end of lap 14 and then i suspect there’s no reason for any of the top three to come in and i would imagine that they’re not gonna come in until the race leader comes in oh wait is one of the ideas in the pit lane it is which of that is is that the van der linde i think it is van der linde just actually closed up a little bit once he’d lost costa off his tail can’t read the number on the card so i think the van der linde it is van der linden into the pit lane so he’s funny how drivers suddenly pick up the pace but he suddenly wasn’t being challenged by the lamborghini was able to gain a few tenths of a second back off the sister car but it wasn’t the sister guy he’s really racing with it’s his race is to make sure he gets back out ahead of that 163 lamborghini of course again as frequently as the case team wrt down towards pit exit in fact the final garage 163 have made their pit stop jacob alto at the wheel now he will be determined to come out ahead at least of the 31 audi but his real target is to get ahead of the 32 audi but i think that’s good just too big wrg at the very bottom of the pit lane so once the four wheels and powers have been changed drop the car and send it so where is the lamborghini it’s just coming out of turn 16 now so the lamborghini is well it’s a long pit lane here in barcelona the audi has managed to retain that position and almost extend the gap momentarily as it comes down the difference is altogether is on warm race tires and time after time john you think oh the car’s done just enough it’s come out but the first few quarters when you’re not yet up to race pace the tires aren’t quite ready this is the moment that uh altoid that’s his best chance if it doesn’t get it done on this lap then it’s probably not going to happen whatsoever that’s how fine how critical it is here around barcelona we know how good the lamborghini is the front of that car really really works mechanically the car is outstanding so although he’s probably got the better car at the minute but the difference is that when he columns um tomita sanders got the track position that’s all that matters yeah by the time you’ve got up to turn four it’s sort of almost all okay again but for rafale marcelo he went to gate another i just gave another second on this last lap his advantage is stretching and stretching not just by an amount of time but an increasing amount of time he gained six tenths of a second he just gained an entire second but is that because there’s van tour has come into the pitch just waiting to see no dresses there in the background of the shot but really no line of sight anymore no but drizzling thor is going to come in this lap because charles ferris is standing there waiting so we’ve got four minutes mid lane so i suspect the audi is coming in this lap and i suspect mercedes might do one further lap if they can get it in before we get to 25 minutes which they ought to be comfortably able to do yeah they should and i’m sure that the process is to leave rafaeli martial who’s doing this stellar job at the front of the field to just gain a few more tenths of a second here or there that’s what he’s doing chris van tour through turn five probably the last time before he comes into pits maybe just maybe one more and the i suppose the support that the 32 has got is that uh the 31 the sister car gone out ahead of al alto in the uh 163 lamborghini so there’s a little sense that now we’re in a strong position yeah massive phillip for the team that news will be relayed well charles vince would know dries van tour doesn’t really need to know he just has got to be told when to come into the pits pit push as hard as he can before the pickup there’s under investigation okay that is mentioned coming through from race control about albert costa thumping up the tail end of kelvin van der linde the van der linde car has been running third

so the league mercedes goes for one more lap the rd will be coming in at this lap here it is in the pit lane so this is the pit stop that will determine if it doesn’t it doesn’t really need much determination that the two drivers dries fans thor and charles ferret will walk out of here this evening gt world challenge europe powered by aws sprint champions and so they most likely will but it’s not done yet we’re just under half an hour of racing remaining all the 88 akka asp mercedes can grow crew could do is press on press on which is what rafaeli marcelo is doing effectively they need to be on the podium with this car the 32 car not picking up a single point therefore finishing outside the top 10 but the fact they’ve been running second in the first half of the race it looks like a tiny pit stop coming up they’ve almost got the job done but not yet what they need i hope for is that the service is complete before the audi the 31 comes through and so it’s going to be remember wrt are the very bottom of the pit lane they come out ahead so big size of relief from wrt they’ve done the business they’ve done it on the racetrack they’ve done it in the pit lane and now they’ve got what 26 minutes of this race remaining and it’s consolidation to the end we have still wait to see what happens with uh rafaela brings in the lead mercedes the lead actually okay including the pit then entry was 11.2 seconds so of course marcelo then has to come in and that additional three to four seconds that you gain over a car entering the pit lane will be negated so the gap will be roughly around about seven six and a half hours it was just between just high six seconds so let’s call it seven seconds by the time raphael marcelo completes this lap that is the gift but the fact of the matter is the car that’s in second place is the championship challenger the the people leading on points so marcelo’s race is run the car will it go on in the hands of team of bogusleiski to at least taste victory but he is the only one who could take the championship from charles who’s just started his final stint of the 2020 sprint cup tall italian gets out slightly shorter russian gets on board this is the end of his fourth season racing could become the sprint cup championship but champion but really the points are in favor of the 32 crew of viets and van thor and the pit stop it’s a case of all haste their speed so pogba’s lost he’s got the 88 mercedes rolling he’s at the entrance to the pit lane he’s got that long drag all the way down actually actually i think he’s going to come out well he is coming out ahead comfortably ahead he’s still in the background still coming out of the pits that’s in fact the elc sport mercedes coming down lee mould would have taken that over that was right in the i was looking but look the fact only just seeing the second place car of charles vitz coming over the crest the hill down the start finish straight but the comfortable thing for him is the fact he’s got that two two second advantage over a teammate and there’s also the question mark hanging over the 163 lamborghini that’s running in fourth place because of that contact with the 31 audi at the start of the race so that’s another thing that could just help out fiats and van savannah i think the reason why there may not be any further action taken is because it didn’t actually affect the outcome of the 31 it got pinged up the rear but that and we saw what happened when the linda went off track but he didn’t lose position and the car is running strongly so i would say i doubt that i would be surprised if there’s any penalty to caster and i don’t believe that it was a a move that was intentional it was just i think he got caught out all okay that’s coming up from race control start at number four we saw maro angle out of line he got very very close to the car lined up ahead of him which was the santa lock racing simon gashe driven car that was starting in night all right let’s go down here for a driver who’s going to do no more racing in this championship it’s tree center you’ve done all that you can do now it’s just gonna sit back and watch charles yeah i think i’ve never been so nervous in my life uh i mean i really hope it’s gonna end like this um 20 minutes to go sorry um say i mean let’s just hope the race is finished and uh let’s hope it stays like this how was the car feeling too is a bit tricky i mean i did not have the pace as marcelo had in the mercedes uh i mean we’ve been i don’t think it’s been our strongest weekend but uh but it was just the aim to score points every race and let’s hope we can do this again this race and yeah well hopefully that should be enough thank you and bruce we need to point out that the car that the 32 that the car of juice van thor and charles francis driving is not their regular east cup

that was damaged in an accident here i think i’m thursday but coming up to this part of the an era the car went off into the barriers did so much damage they couldn’t repair it so they had to send the car down from belgium and uh this is the sort of the backup car that they’re driving yeah absolutely that really raised our eyebrows when we heard dries tell us that earlier in the weekend we thought all was running smoothly but just to reiterate of course it’s only the sprint cup we’ve been talking about today a lot of the drivers competing in the endurance for the cup as well to try and win the overall title and that most certainly is dress van tour in the sharp end of the mix team of bogashlavsky also in that mix as well as they fight on through the remainder of the year so pit window is now closed all the runners are coming team of bogusleiski took over in the lead it was about a seven second lead before the pitch stop when martial handed over it’s still a seven second lead over charles viet so all blogger slice he could do is press on press on and make sure he’s first to the finish and for charles vietz and his incredibly nervous looking teammate dries van tour this will be his first title he’s won things like the gt e m victory in the le mans 24 hours he’s been a bathurst 12-hour winner and nurburgring 24-hour winner but he hasn’t got a championship title in gt world challenge or the previous broadcast series to his name it was bound to be coming he is that good it’s not in the back yet supremely talented young driver and it was inevitable at some point that this championship the sprint championship would come or even the endurance or even the overall would come his way right now it’s going to be the sprint championship there’s little prospect whatsoever as we now see the two lamborghinis running in formation as well so i suspect that’s going to be unchanged uh because the uh ricardo fella car in fifth place is the silver cup car as opposed to the the the pro car which has been driven by jacob altoy which is in a different category yeah and it must be said i must say that i’ve been really deeply impressed by ricardo fellow this weekend he’s he’s closed the gap he’s gained several positions through that sequence of the pit stops but he’s had the speed to catch up with his teammates so giacomo artoi who had three wins on the track in succession one has been taken away that was this morning’s win but still a proven race winner in this sprint cup format and fella has caught up with him they’re both being maybe slightly delayed by riojiro to meet her not noticeably so but i think you know really the driver with the pace there is fella clearly the the slowest of these three cars as they are you can tell it’s obvious that the two lamborghinis have got more inherent pace uh but they’re in a position where they’re trying to find a way around even though they have that advantage and pace it isn’t sufficient to find a way around the 31 id and that is you know you’re stuck and you’re thinking which what can i do what is left what thoughts can how can i get around a car that is slower and a lap than me but i’m not quick enough to make it stick yeah and again just looking at the split times around the lap but the race leader team of bogaski is not matching the paces these three cars in their little battle the lead will come down it’s down to 6.8 seconds last time around had been just over seven we’ve got 20 minutes thereabouts remaining in the race it’s down to 6.4 he’s lost three tenths of a second on that lap gives a little bit of encouragement for charles fitz but it’s not really about winning this race it’s about winning the title that is what he has to focus on right second overall a little bit of defense from the 31 realizing that the lamborghini the 163 now as we stand predicted points he’s so it’s looking very strong indeed for vietnam 89 points demon bogus schleiske well he’ll have come up short but uh still an amazing accolade for driver young in his career if they finish if he finishes in the victorious position of this race he will end up second overall his teammate and the penalties in race two really just haven’t affected it has been the fact that look he’s running ahead of the lamborghinis that’s why they’ve moved up on the points the breakout of fella has just overtaken jacob altoy into turn five uh i don’t know that was something that was orchestrated or not but altobe had the pace to catch up maybe they think that that ricardo fella has got more pace right now to try and get ahead of the third place hardy i suspect that might be some of the thinking that’s going on they want to take that third place away get a third and a fifth would be a pretty good result bearing in mind what has taken place earlier in the day yeah a real shake-up of the order just ahead of the race if you’re just joining us part way through the cars that finished in the first and third positions in race two this morning had a 35-second post-race penalty applied to the tour the panic victory to nicola show and fred vervish and totally changing the landscape in the championship coming into this race in the lead into this meeting the release car number 32 drew’s fan tour and the driver at the wheel of moment charles vietz they cannot catch at the moment the akka 88 mercedes

and for father fiats in the pits e fiats it’s a this time’s moving i don’t know who’s more nervous reese van thor or or vance’s dad he’s rocking backwards and forwards thinking well you know every millisecond he’s living he certainly is one of the founding members of the wrt team charlie ibiatz and living it through his son as he sort of has it from two angles within this team but uh for charles such an impressive young racer really burst on the scenes in gt’s in the similar fashion to how dress van tour had done a couple of years before and is really making it stick and of course driest is the younger brother of lawrence van thor we know back what four or five years ago used to be winning races for wrg id that’s what he said he’s gone on to a different stage now andres has picked up that mantle and doing a brilliant job but what can ricardo fellow do you know there’s been a number of discoveries this year young talent coming in and ricardo feller clearly is one of those talents absolutely so but just to go back charlevitz only 19 years old so the fact that the thought of therese van tour standing around as a young teenager at the back of the wtrt garage learning from everything that was happening and alongside him just a few years younger was charvin is doing exactly the same so they’re inculcated in this team they would have learned so much as they watched the likes of laurel vancouver winning race was beginning his career charles ferch was still probably a short pants going to secondary school or something absolutely so our time moves on but i love the fact you suddenly get we hate status quo we like people coming through we like people challenging and showing us talent that we didn’t know they had well you know not if you’re the incumbent lead driver you don’t john you’re looking backwards again where has respect gone uh just over the brow on the start finish straight down towards the first corner and again tamita having to fight really really hard certainly ricardo fellows looking a little bit sharper in attack oh yeah now giacomo alto it was before this is coming with him it may well be he’s got the fresh attire as hell has set held back for oh this final race oh the body movement is definitely in the favor of the lamborghini number 14 closing in leading the silver cup class by a big margin he’s four for the next challenger is stephen palette for santa racing down in eighth and out of the background of the shot weight to see into turn five that’s where the lamborghini is strong it has got the fight and the ability to turn in wait and see whether he makes a cut he’s gone to the outside but watch for the undercut can he make that work not really it was the thinking i could see what he was trying to do but it didn’t come away he’s got to be careful because well his sister car’s running behind him so that isn’t going to raise him directly the responsibility for lamborghini right right now is the hands of ricardo fella to try and take that third place away from tomita-san well interesting the reason that ricardo fellow caught up so much he banged in the fastest lap of the race four tenths faster than anything rafael marcello could do down to turn 10 they go covering the inside absolutely doggedly there is rio to meet her but better exit speed but there’s not much space being allowed to be left open for him to look at but what demeter does is he slows it down to make sure that fella doesn’t get the run so he’s frustrating fella fella can’t get any closer to the back of the audi than he is coming into turn 13 now the swing back through 14 then 15 then start finished straight so the lambo was as close probably as you’re going to be likely able to get as you come onto the street this is the view from 163 well this is out giacomo alto he’s got a few wins in the bag got frustrated this morning their take it away from him but the lambie has always been super strong down the start finish straight time and a time they get closer and closer to rio to meet her but he’s got it covered he’s staying absolutely once where he wants to keep that audi and all along the gap in front of him stretches to charles he doesn’t mind vince is his teammate a teammate going towards the title and we’ve got just over just under 14 minutes remaining look at the gap between that is comfortable for the driver in second place incidentally the gap in first and second has come down to 4.8 seconds so boguslavsky has either just consolidated his lead with 13 minutes remaining knowing that he doesn’t he can’t do any more and it’s not it’s unlikely even if bench was to catch the mercedes that he could find a way through all bench has got to do is stay where he is drive cleanly make sure nothing on toward should happen the biggest difficulty he may face is at some point they catch up to a back marker at an awkward part of the circuit exactly so but just bear in mind when timo bogar schleich took over from raphaeli marcelo he came back out into the lead of the race by about seven seconds to go but if it’s down to four point eight seconds and falling that is interesting right now thomas noy barry the lexus fastest at the apex of turn nine that’s camps are going over the top of the hill accent jeffries the mad panda motorsport mercedes and steve palette so where are the front runners they’re not that good through turn nine but they’re very good

tires whoever had the best set of tires is gonna be the biggest through turn nine and because all the front runners probably used up their new sets primarily in qualification to get the advantage of knowing that if you start at the front you can stay at the front but if you haven’t got the outnight pace then you might use a huge set of cars for qualifying but think that for us our focus is the race more than it is for qualifying right the time at the top of the screen 12 and a half minutes remaining the gap is coming down and down at the front 4.1 seconds the good now let’s look at top speed down at the end of the start finish straight is it going to be the lamborghinis at the top yes it is 271 i think that’s the fastest time we’ve seen we’ve seen 270s from quite a few drivers but to ricardo fella fastest on the track at the moment fastest overall down and that would have been achieved he was under the approaching under the rear wing of the of the 31 artists who he benefited from the slipstream but that’s around the figure that we were seeing consistently through the practice and qualifying sessions all right let’s have a look look at the classes at the top in the silver cup class we’re seeing a lot of him he’s ricardo fella in fourth place overall next in class stephen palette down in eight thomas neubauer in ninth top in pro-am it is that man there valentin pierberg the sps automotive mercedes he’s got a lead off wait for it quite a large lead over louis michigan’s louie in the af course ferrari yet across the start finish line just under eight seconds so valentin determined to take a win in the championship this weekend and uh looking very good for at least putting one on the board yes and he’s got clear air nobody behind him nobody ahead of him he can drive at his own natural the pace he feels comfortable that face the car is allowing him to drive too so doing all he needs to do in the pro-am category but there we are back to this battle for a third position ricardo fella quickly caught but does everybody else just find out struggles to pass yeah and i think team wrt will be very very pleased with uh first kelvin van der linde and now particularly with a lot more pressure rio cherry tomato has done a really good job of the lamborghini really bouncing over the curves there on the exit the chicane trying everything to use that straight line speed advantage get close enough to get a proper proper toe down the start finish straight hasn’t happened yet all top to meter over towards the pit wall side trying to keep ensure the fact that he’ll be still third by the time they turn out of turn one into the corner it’s still the audi in third place i don’t know why he needs to go so far over to the right of the circuit i suppose what he thinks is he’s gonna be trying he’s gonna try and break any potential opportunity to slip stream but fella just stays on the left-hand side of the track and uh let’s just go on this is stephen palette riding on board with him he’s second in the silver cup class eighth overall all over the tail of tommaso moscow there so it’s audi versus audi it’s the santa lock in eighth place and attempt to then sixth and seventh nicolas shaw and then tommaso moscow but it’s the italian racer moscow who’s being pushed around the circuit here by stephen palette stephen already has the silver cup trophy in his pocket sharing that with seymon gashe his teammate but would like to at least advance another position up the track and certainly that’s his intent with the remaining 10 minutes of this race up front quick look at the gap between first and second it’s not four seconds anymore it’s three point nine seconds charlie is getting closer and closer maybe they will will win this series with a win it’s not one yet though well i don’t know what happened what it would take but respectfully all down the inside down the inside and the opportunity but couldn’t make it stick down into turn ted because a fella got four two thirds of the way alongside the audi but you need to be 100 alongside before you could even think to claim you made the pass yes it looked more promising than it was basically because reaching tomita did not flinch an inch still in third place for team wrt belgian audi club team wrt so many successes oh a much much better exit this is more exciting now so he’s going to get a big toe as well at the back of the group yeah but again immediately the audi off to the right hand side the lamborghini this time follows so they’re zigzagging their way down this long one kilometers straight here in barcelona into turn one and that’s where we are alapago and a lap before that before i’d like to see those figures again for the last the late breakers bear in mind it’s street van tour who had that he was the old person who broke latest and it looked there as though tomita was very very late on the breaks i expected the lamborghinis to gain more but we had that frontal shot and then when it got to breaking it was still good so i think tamita is really being very brave but his teammate three point four seconds that number’s getting smaller johnny was seven seconds he’s coming down hardly the number at the top of our screen the countdown the clock country dot is getting smaller as well he’s maybe trying to do one thing for a watch again fella very very aggressive defense from the audi i mean this code this could end in tears

it’s going to be very tight on the run up the hill along his wife what a frame maneuver around the outside on the exit i’m turning i’ve never seen any driver do that before congratulations ricardo fellow i think you’ve made history outstanding now look second audio in lamborghini trying to do the same thing this time around the outside of turn 10 less chance of making this one stick well that was astonishing turnout i was about to say she john have you ever seen a move there before and you just jumped straight in because it is so so rare just too deep propelled too deep into the corner for tamita and now having got into that third place off into the distance is going ricardo fella he he is certainly putting his name on the board this weekend tomato was six seconds behind drinking charles bells that will mean the lamborghini is approximately six seconds behind charles brooks seven minutes on the board can he take a second a laugh out of charles fans in these remaining seven minutes yeah on what’s the point can in the rainy seven minutes charlie it’s take three seconds he’s already taken three and a half seconds out of the race leader team of bogashvi last stop he only gained a tenth of a second though let’s take another look at the move down through six it’s still the audi in third place tamita though goes a little bit deep john into turn seven but this move the traction the ricardo fella he had drive out of turn eight the idea was trying to get track position back again and all of a sudden he’s got the lamborghini on the left-hand side and just power i mean you think it’s another 30-40 horsepower he didn’t have horsepower he was on the throttle earlier that’s why he was able to make that move and make it be that just you rushed past the 31 id as a meet it was absolutely well where did that come from that’s not the script not in the script not in the laws of physics either it was such a dominant move and um that was full full commitment to make that happen but the bravery to get on the throttle for ricardo fella worked streets so up into third place he’s 5.6 seconds down on second on charles i don’t think there’s going to be any change given there but now suddenly a little bit of traffic out there that’s lee mole he’s down towards the tail off the field in his erc sport mercedes but that buys a bit more of an advantage for ricardo fellow he’s got past before turn 10 and tries he might to meet us and cannot get past the mercedes at that point so that gives an opportunity for albert for giacomo alto see if he can pick him off as well he needs to get into the slit stream down the start finish straight i leave all sorts going to be monstered by two cars racing for a position for podium positions got out of the way but uh they they would have lost fraction either the one would have benefited but he doesn’t seem to have quite that level of commitment or aggression that we have seen from ricardo fella yeah and again just looking at that gap between first and second it’s almost reached parity it’s 3.2 seconds for the last two or three two laps and uh now sorry fellas now 4.9 seconds behind charles friends thank you thank you john yeah i’ve just repeated what you said no no i was looking at the gap between first and second it’s staying static the gap that isn’t static is the one between the charles and ricardo fellow quite right to get excited on that john under five seconds it’s not gonna happen in the remaining five minutes in this race surely or is it well well who could say if he catches it he’ll have done understandingly well but of course it would require something almost you might say external beyond the control of charles first to to to see the 14 lamborghini take that second place away yeah fatima bogaski frustrating leading this race coming through to victory most likely zero zero one and bog alternating on his screen bogusly and first position that’s what that signal tells us he’s driving it carefully driving it cautiously but quick enough to remain in the lead he’s lost half of that advantage but it wasn’t about winning by seven seconds it’s about winning that’s all he can do absolutely at 100 winning is about the driver who takes the check and flag first whether you win by a minute or a second if you’re first to take the checkered flag you’re the winner boguslowski i think has judged it very well he was under pressure he was handed the race leading car it was all he could have lost everything but he has settled down he was nervous i knew he was nervous before he got into the car but has done what he was there to do couldn’t ask him to do any more down it comes so after a few laps in which there was very little change suddenly it’s down to 2.8 seconds i’m not trying to big this up to the end of the race but uh charlevoix is now well i’m closer i can see you’re getting larger in front of me but he’s not gonna take any risks he’s gonna do all he can just to get onto the tail of that car and and in third place ricardo fella has shut down that gap down to 4.3 seconds so best part of half a second or lap as eve bats

i mean how more nervous can a dad be nervous dads at football matches motor racing sometimes keep them at home yeah well i think i think eve is too well versed in motor racing to to put his or in i think he’s been there from the outcome he understands it i think the big problem in motor racing is fathers who’ve invested in their sons who never raced themselves and that can often be a problem because they don’t understand all the vagaries but right now charlemagne’s doing a fantastic job in second place he is getting appreciably closer to timor bogar schweinski that’s a run down to turn 10 the gap is coming down and down but look the clock is down to just over two minutes 20 seconds remaining in this race it looks so accurate asp greece fan tour at the end of this race if they stay as they are will be four points clear with his teammate charlevoix and team of bloggers and they will land the sprint cup they’d love to do with the victory but they want that title first and foremost so second place is fine what is it for dress fanta where is he looking now this will be i think the penultimate lap so we’re just a minute and 56 so it’s going to be very close it depends focus on she gets across the line and actually may this may actually now be the punishment they’re going on so it just depends it’s gonna be very close this could be the last lap or it could be one more because at the point when the lead mercedes came across the line it was almost within a second or so of what would be called a race or one more lap so 2.5 seconds the gap does keep on coming down and behind the ricardo fella 3.8 seconds further back he’s having a cracking finish this race you can just see him in the background but it’s that number 32 entry from belgian audi club team wrt charles v it’s the young belgian at the wheel the 19 year old catching the race leader but he is all about seeing the checkered flag that is what he needs to do and all along ricardo fella absolutely flying taking great chance out of time a third of a second in the first section of the lap alone the clock will not be his friend it will beat him to the finish this race but they could almost be nose to tail come the very end question is will this be the last lap or will they have to go on to one more lap because it’s a question of whether where we are now will they get across the start finish line before the clock comes down to zero i think if we get getting one more lap oh dear one of the attempto cars has suddenly pulled off at the side of the circuit at pit exit they were running in is it’s a nicolas scholl so this other side of the coin they took a second place that became victory in race number two that was the first one this morning and unfortunately a retired dropped down the order and have been running very well had been eighth when they came across the start finish line so a late failure for them so i’d have turned 12 20 seconds before checkered flag will fall and oh i don’t know how to call this because it is so close ten seconds coming out of turn four fifteen oh that’s something there’s somebody gonna be standing here with the checkered flag whether it’s gonna fall becomes yeah it’s gonna fall or is it no no literally within a second yeah maybe a fraction of the second so one more lap as we go into the final lap twt they’re happy with an extra lap but will their car break down from this lap anything can happen in motor racing but team of poker slideski 2.1 seconds to good surely for asp that is enough for the championship challenger to end with the win but second place behind is absolutely enough for the chasing 32 car challenge to take the title if you’ve been in the asp pits realizing how close it would be for checkered flag or one more lap would you not have said the burgers last year just back out of it and turns 14 and 50 you’ve got enough of a lead we don’t need to do another lap you never know what could happen on the final lap john i think back to the united states grand prix indianapolis when they wanted to dead heat ferrari got it wrong probably ellie marchello was pretty much about rupert’s baricello took victory in the race that michael schumacher always going to be amusing to be a dead heat so let’s just go to the very very end of this race 2.1 seconds to good and you can see there’s a big enough advantage for team of boguslevsky charlevitz and pride is trying to close right the way in and then ricardo fella in the background closing all the time in his lamborghini just coming into shot now through turn nine for the final time at racing speed but for teemo boguslevsky he has got the job done he’s built on the work that raffaeli martiello did when he built that seven second lead by the time they came to the pit stops but victory this afternoon will put a smile on his face but not the title in his pocket john but it’s just a very very convincing victory outstanding qualifying by rafael marcello by a significant margin who dominated the opening phases and then handed over to boise who’s done an equally dominant job okay he’s allowed you to get closer it doesn’t matter as i say as who takes the flag first as the winner well we know the flag is being waived this time around and it goes the 88 mercedes from asp but excitement down at team wrt because second place there’s dries fanta leading over the pit ball he now has a title to his name on a title that uh is it from a championship that really is part of the family history

for team wrt and they really really did it themselves they could have done it even without the penalties john for the other other crews for the number four crew and the 163 lamborghini crew so a lot of pride restored there for akka airspeed they have ended the sprint cup in style but for team wrt they’ll be buying the drinks tonight and events running down the pit lane you can see how happy he is with that for his boy i don’t know whether they’re buying the drinks because of spain right now there’s not a lot of places open but no doubt there will be a celebration though done on board with their whole hospitality and backup they will have sufficient supplies of liquid refreshment to celebrate long into this evening twit would never turn up anywhere unprepared so there we are cruising around and you can imagine the excitement for charles v it’s the release of pressure a title in the bag at the age of 19 at this level is outstanding and so let’s have a look sprint cup champions in silver cup of course we knew they wrapped that up early in race number two here of the three this weekend stephen palette and simon gashey for santa lot racing but the overall title to the 32 crew of chavez who’s brought it home and dries van tour who was celebrating on the pit wall topping the silver cup in the final race was ricardo fellow what a drive from him i reckon that drive people will be pencilling in ricardo fella’s name for a potential seat should he not have an opportunity to drive with emil frey in 2021 he’s still got ray he’s going to be in spa 24 undoubtedly in what two weeks time then paul recounts six hours of paul rica but thinking forward to 2021 where will this young man be certainly in my view his name’s being penciled in well a great finish to raise some louis michigan’s because he was uh some distance behind valentin pierberg and yet has come out ahead so for af course the event ended the sprint cup in style not as champions we know that sky 10 pester racing did that and thank goodness they wrapped it up in the first of today’s two races because put into the wall at the start of this race would have been really really sad way to lose a title but they already had it in the bag team of boguslavsky makes it into pit lane and team wlt along with our cameraman running up to greet the celebrations that will be up at pits in steven pogba slice he gets out he didn’t have a reason to have a slope cooling down that he’s won the race his teammate rafaeli marchello will be as delighted as rafaela can get but for team wrt save at the moment as they come back in and as champions they get a special archway to go through there we are second in the race today that was good for victory in the title in the sprint cup for 2020 so an afternoon of great entertainment a little too entertaining at the start of the race with the collision on the start finished straight but uh in behind ah bring him out charlie he looks like his sort of younger brother i mean theresa is 22 tells francis 18. but crease looks like a child compared to charles press great effort a lot of pressure coming here small advantage and it really swung either way and with the lamborghini’s looking so strong but they did it the hard way and they came through and don’t forget their race car was effectively destroyed on thursday so they had to drag down another car so on top of all the actual inherent pressures of leading the championship they had a car they weren’t familiar with they had to set that car up there a number of obstacles to overcome they overcame them and they’ve walked away the champions they have on this motor racing history at another page always twists and many things behind the scene john that people often don’t find out about as we heard in fact from albert costa earlier that their car the lamborghini had a problem on the final lap of the first race this morning and these things do often get lost but they are these challenges but should we hear from this year’s champions let’s go down to dries van tour who started it and charles fitz who finished it charles a fantastic result the emotion is absolutely clear congratulations to you both juice will come to you first yeah i mean i don’t really know what to say um yeah very happy me in charleston in amazing second stint the lumber was flying again but uh yeah luckily we had our sister car could could manage to keep him behind for just that long enough to to make sure our gap was big enough so yeah extremely happy was not our easiest weekend we had so much stress coming in you know as the leader of the championship is always easy because you you don’t want to make a mistake you don’t want to be the first one that makes it that makes an error but yeah i think we just did it really good and uh very very happy thanks to audi as well for providing us

the whole season with a cartoon to be able to pay to fight for victory thank you jason charles fantastic the emotion is clear yeah i’m super super happy i mean i don’t have words i’m just uh over the moon right now but yeah as he said uh the call was great the team did an amazing an amazing job during the whole season thanks to audi thanks to every single guy in our team that helped us and uh yeah i mean i’m really really really happy about this congratulations very well done boys well done thank you indeed you can just feel the release of stress so there’s evit’s very very proud father and part owner of the team but it’s watching your son deliver for your team that makes it so there’s a special moment i mean you can understand the pride and joy of a father to see his son a young 18 year old walk out of barcelona the champion in the sprint series so i mean what else could you say it’s on his face look look there we go a great moment for father and son moments like that are moments to cherish for a lifetime it’s quite nice the way that eve just sort of shouted charlie had been forgotten for a moment and the team there in the mix as well as celebration for teamwrt they had a lean year last year bruce come back strong 2020 so let’s go down in here from our race winners rafaeli marcelo and timo bogaslevski rafaeli tima congratulations a race win and two more still leading the overall championship uh yeah feels a bit bad because we have the good balls had a good chance for the win the screen but anyway we i didn’t expect this result really before the season i was thinking about the podium maybe in the springs or in durham’s and take the experience of rafaela for from the team also but now we finished and finished the championship in p2 and i think in the p3 in the sprint and it’s really good result yeah but we still have another two championship is the overall yeah i’m leading and endurance so but next we have the spa the biggest race and we will see maybe we will win this part so we don’t exactly know it’s going to creep up on us quickly rafaela you’ve been absolutely on pace this weekend yeah it was a good weekend car was good so it was quite easy yeah very few words from each other like when you’re in front everything is nice thank you thank you so a shrug at the shoulders and john for for tima bogaszewski didn’t expect to be right in the championship mix and even after the second race today wasn’t really then we had those two disqualifications that didn’t really affect charles vance andre’s fan tour but it very much affected team bogashleiski it suddenly meant he had a clear battle with them to try and take the title he’s come away disappointed but he suddenly got promoted into a position ahead of where he expected to be very nearly delivered there i mean look he is a very understated man and he doesn’t know what to say he’s just delighted to win the race i would say well let’s go down because the drivers who finished third nico grenier ricardo fella won the silver cup to the afternoon boys congratulations silver race win and it certainly was a challenging race wasn’t it yeah difficult race uh i think the start was a bit messy behind so we had a fuel up on the safety car but the car was really good we made a good improvement from the race this morning and uh yeah i was a bit stuck behind rudy but ricardo did a really good job to take the place at the end and the team did a good job to get a place in the pit stop as well so we can be pleased absolutely ricardo that overtake was absolutely amazing yeah i lost some time with him but in the end it was working no i really enjoyed the second half of the race maked it amazing the whole weekend the crew was working perfectly amazing job big thanks and i’m looking forward to spa absolutely the lamborghini certainly have a huge amount to play for yeah i think we made a big big progress this year we improved the car a lot and uh yeah i hope it we can keep on going like this thank you very much well done today and indeed john just reflecting back on that amazing move around the outside but let’s take a look at the eventual order in the race 2.1 seconds to good but it was victory that counted for tima bogaslowski and rafaeli macholo but alas that great result for them wasn’t quite enough because charlevoix and there’s van tour they came here in the championship league the whole thing scrambled around and that second place was enough for them to take the sprint cup title for ricardo feller well we already know his

name but we know it’s a whole lot better now astonishing drive through to third place richard tamita totally rock solid until he got past by that brilliant move trying to hold them back couldn’t in the end jacob are two a race of disappointments for him and albert costa in the end but uh really it was looking at the pace the front two cars they just couldn’t get up with them no i mean certainly the the pace that we saw from ricotta fella out sean nada giacomo altoy who was pretty impressive all through the weekend but just at the point where fellow was coming up and catching it was the good call by the end of the team to let them go now pro am in the end today looks going towards sps automotive performance but it was uh af courser with their ferrari luma shields and andrea bertolini louis andrea a pro-am class win for you there in that race andre you took the start how was that first stint yeah it was you know we had a big crash with teddy and we lost one car and then we spent a lot of time behind safety car yeah it was difficult to overtake other car because we we improve a lot the car we was really in trouble during the weekend with the setting but now was a bit better but you know he’s always tough and honestly we we were there all the three the top three car was there and we make a big big step forward at the end also the other car at the puncher so we are here we are we score a lot of points and you know for us is important for the overall championship yeah we are happy and we go back at home happy and ready for spa 24 absolutely louie two out of three you can’t ask her much better no that’s true so i’m a very happy man i took over the car of andrea i must say yeah the car was much better than the first race and okay we are very happy and we are ready for spa congratulations well done thank you thank you and thank you two there for andrew bertolini explaining how they took the lead it was a puncture to the sps automotive performance car the mercedes that cost victory in class there for valentine nearby but seized with both hands by af courser with their ferrari and as they pointed out the sadness their sister car going off at the side of the circuit at the start the sky 10 pester racing racer eddie cheever not his fault moved into the pit wall now the presentations we can have the championship presentations as well as the race presentations but first of all we have presentations for speedy pit stops and that goes to akka asp a lot of drivers standing around waiting to receive a lot of trophies the sprint cut for 2020 has come to an end we know the identity of the overall champions now charvier andres van tour we knew the prime winners earlier that sky 10 pester racing they had their trophies so here we have the runners in third place overall it was the silver cup winners ricardo fella and mikael grenier the check for their team there foreign racing and then waiting to see next up should be charles beats andres vancouver second is second but a title is a title when they’ve done it that is what they came here for it got very tight at the end but eventually keeping their call on second place a very strong second place was absolutely enough to do the job and you know what’s going to happen bruce a brief celebration and then focused on one thing and one thing only in two weeks time spa 24 hours that will be wrt’s goal to follow on from the success they’ve had here today absolutely will a belgian race a great belgium race for a great belgian team and two young belgian stars but the winners this afternoon to take the final race of the 2020 sprint cup team of bogos and following him out with the trophy the golden trophy for the race winners will be rafaeli marcelo who built the lead at the start of the race and a representative from the team as well it’s uh gerald polycon the man who got aka asp onto the road amazing how you’re gonna look at people’s eyes to recognize i hesitated you could say well i wasn’t sure i wasn’t sure i couldn’t tell either so that was the overall podium of course we have the silver cup podium so we’ll see mikhail grenier and ricardo fellow all over again because they won that class but third in that class was the lexus in the end we saw that on the grass at the start they came through to eighth overall thomas lloyd well they were one of their cars at that initial start that somewhat anticipated it uh but managed to avoid any of the contact collisions that took out certainly the 193 ferrari

the number two so number four mercedes also retired on the second lap we didn’t see it at all we don’t know what the reasons where for that retirement or whether they just simply blew the car and so already with the silver cup trophy for the sprint cup in their pockets stephen palette and simon gachay second in the silver cup with seventh overall in this afternoon’s final race of the sprint cup for 2020. these one-hour races three of them crammed into this weekend it’s been fun i like i like a three race weekend it puts pressure on the teams it means you’ve got three we’ve had three unpredictable events all because the qualifying is individual for each race so you get a real big mix and match you certainly do but uh ricardo feller and miko grenier third overall but first in the silver cup category within the race within the race if you will one of two races within the race now forever racing another trophy for them as the winners of the class so it’s been a really good haul for them here in barcelona this weekend and the last of the podiums that count according to the race not the championship the final race race three of three here at the circuit de catalunya it will be the pro am honors and the third place crew in class limo and phil keane coming out onto the podium they’ll be pleased with that they will in spite of the spin leo level and spin i think it was an honors outlet going into turn four i think it was so they take those trophies british pairing for erc sport second place for sp automotive performers but we had heard tell that they lost it with a puncture that needed replacing but uh they’ll be pleased with the speed that valentin pierberg showed with his regular teammate dominic bauman back this weekend after a weekend away they’re still smiling it was a good job you always want to feel the speed in the car speed in the driver pairing but the crew that came away with several wins two wins out of three in the prime class this weekend the af courser ferrari pairing of louis mchills and andrea bertolini they get the big trophies there the biggest check for the prime class up for another photo how big is the af course a photo the trophy cabinet it must be absolutely huge i think they might need something bigger than your local warehouse to store all the accolades and awards of the team that i of course have won over many many years around the world not just in europe oh absolutely so so for the drivers who placed over the championships well let’s take a look at the highlights race beautiful clean start at the front of the grid for raffaeli marcello but the middle order suddenly we had four cars abreast and moving all of the westwood direction and unfortunately for eddie cheever his was the car punted out that was them out of the race already with the prime title in the bag thank goodness he was okay and then really all under control further down the track for raphaeli martial punch up the back for a hit at the back for kelvin badlander in second place from albert costa there he left the track rejoined back in second place so no damage done to the race order off the tail end of his car but plenty of damage to eddie cheever’s ferrari for 10 pester racing out front came the safety car the pack was backed up and as soon as it withdrew rafaela marcelo really got the hammer down chased very hard indeed and then we had the change of positions in behind then a little bit of contact unfortunately the mad panda motorsport car picked up a puncture in all of that but up front the pressure was on the driver in third place that was a kelvin van der linde holding back the better of the lamborghinis that was the 163 lamborghini very near miss with the 108 cmr bentley when one was coming in and one was going after pit lane tomita took over from van der linde but importantly for wrt emerged just in front of the lead lamborghini giacomo alto at the wheel of that but then charles beards took over from dries fanta team of bogaslicki took over the lead mercedes from rafaeli marcelo the order kept on changing in the pro-am class a little bit of an off-track moment there for the af course of ferrari but again the story in the latter stages race was the number 14 lamborghini going faster and faster giacomo artois lets him pass diving up the inside of tomita sand didn’t quite work there for ricardo fellow but he fought back and here is the move to the race running in fourth place suddenly becomes certain around the outside of tonight that’s in nobody’s script at all i thought by the time they got to the top of the hill at turn nine at cancer the move was done and that was a truly phenomenal move but victory in the race went to tima bogar slightly by just a couple of seconds from charles pierce it mattered not for beards he had dressed venture celebrating up on the pit wall they’d landed the sprint cup title with that second place results and for those behind it was bring it in and look at that happiness the joy

the effervescence from the team wrt duo those two young belgians now down bittersweet moment pro um champions in the sprint cup for 2020 they didn’t get to finish the race they hardly got to start the race but for eddie cheever for chris frogger and for sky 10 pester racing crew member there as well very pleased indeed and a job well done and let’s hear from our champions because jeremy’s going to go in and speak to eddie cheever and chris frogger the tall figure congratulations a difficult weekend but the championship all the same yeah it was a shame to finish a good championship this way uh but we won the championship that’s what counts and i can’t wait to go to the 24 hours of spa absolutely chris a difficult race again like we said but it’s now forwards thinking to the 24 hours of spa exactly only looking forward to spa and uh doing the best we can there well done congratulations pro um champions eddie cheever and chris rogers slightly down let’s have a look at the pro am on this there we are 131 points and they stayed there despite not getting a proper race start louie michelle’s andrew bertolini did all they possibly could ended up in second and valentin pierburg a puncture at the end lost in points lost his position but really it was all about eddie cheever and chris froelger in the pro-am chap championship within the sprint cup and they were absolutely fabulous through the course of 2020 and now the silver cup winners for the season for the sprint cup for 2020 it’s stephen palette and simon gachay stephen on the left see seaman on the right and for santa not racing the audi crew they had this one in the bag as well before this race but at least they got to run through to the finish in the final race john yes they did and do not forget that they won overall the second of the sprint races in manukau that gives you an indication just how strong this silver cup team has been throughout the year it really really has and let’s hear from the men themselves stephen palette and seaman gashay silver cup champions boys silver champions you’ve done the job you needed to do congratulations come to you first stephen yeah yeah we are really happy because as i told you it is a goal at the beginning of the year and it’s always good to finish with a good result and strong pacing in race thanks to the hold the team for the job done to my friends and teammate simone for the good cooperation and friendly moment and a big thanks for all the partners we trust on the on the project and it’s perfect yeah nothing to to to add absolutely perfect and seem it’s not been an easy fight for the championship at all but you’ve done it yeah exactly we work on the right direction after the race two it was a little bit difficult for us but for for the race three we was on the game and at the end we we put another podium and this is a superb for the team and for stephen absolutely it’s not just drivers champions it’s a team championship as well yeah very thank you for uh seymour and stephen for the performance and very thank you od and all team center lock for the good job and perfection so these battles within the overall battle really part of the mix as well there seaman gashe and stephen palette 108.5 points a big win in the end over the mad panda crew of axel jefferies and ezekiel parish compact who just kept clear of the ovega brothers and oscar tunjo used to for hakka if they hadn’t picked up a puncture they could well have moved up into second place in the championship they came on strong but really it was all about santa lot racing and gache and pallet seamon and steven so it’s been phenomenal but let’s have our overall champions we’ve already heard from them uh but the noise is getting bigger and bigger teamed up belgian audi club team wrt and the champions the sprint cup champions for 2020 charlevoix and his fellow belgian dress fantau up on the steps they’re smiling they are smiling trust me behind those masks very a special moment for the entire team but particularly two drivers as they have said it was a tough weekend on many different levels but they delivered that’s why they’re employed by wrt because they are great drivers so let’s go in and hear from the men themselves charles beats dress fanta and for team wrt our champions have been named the title is yours boys the celebrations are evident the emotion is evident charles coming to you first there you know a wonderful feeling has it started to sink in yeah you know it’s just now with it at the moment i’m just really happy to finish second in the in the race and just win the championship it’s just amazing

um yeah now i see how i see all my whole crew there um yeah i’m just really really happy and proud of them proud of my teammates and uh yeah part of what we’ve done this year i mean it was just great and i’m just really really happy and yeah i have no words well done congratulations so let’s come across to uh to your team boss in fact vincent the phone’s ringing is that everybody coming through congratulating you already yeah well it’s a nice feeling to be back on the on the top step and uh it’s been a great job from all the guys from the team and it’s a it’s a great feeling and those two drivers did a amazing job i’m very proud like you’re no stranger to winning championships but there’s a lot of emotion around here this seems to mean a lot yeah i mean we we push we did push very hard for this and uh yeah it was tough it was a tough weekend and uh yeah all the guys they they won the pit stop challenge it means a lot in this championship it’s a lot of work for them it’s a lot of training and uh this championship it’s not those two championship it’s the team championship absolutely a team effort well done congratulations you’ve done a great job leading the team and teresa let’s come across to you your brother’s won this title before now it’s yours yeah i saw that on the on the trophy sorry um so it’s nice to see that we were bored on there but yeah like vincent and charles said i mean i’m those guys on the pit stop and the whole team actually it’s just a nice atmosphere and the guys just worked as of the whole day so i mean it’s such a pleasure to work with that and yeah charles did an amazing job the whole season it was not our easiest weekend this weekend but yeah i’m just very happy finally it i lost it in 2017 so i’m happy i have it now and i just wanted to say the big thanks to my dad and my mom for uh for cheering me always on and of course next race the 24 hours of spa yeah that’s also one eye which would we would really like to win so yeah let’s see going into it confident congratulations well done so applause all around for the boss himself van sant vos and for his young chargers this year’s 2020 sprint cup champions dress van tour and charles beats their celebrations will be enjoyable but all focus on the big belgian race for the big belgium team coming up at the spa 24 hours absolutely everything is in the record book it’s there for posterity but think forward and forward is well it’s going to be in what 10 days i mean wrt will be actually inspired by the beginning of next week by monday there we go and there’s fanta modelling himself on van sandboss that has been on vancouver’s head for a very long time a nice little touch so not a bad hat to put on there pirelli first place it looks very good it’s very good absolutely also one of the key the pivotal team members within the team going to say his congratulations and the pierre who’s been around motor racing my generation one of the the quiet men that ensures that wwtr their performances are consistent and competitive throughout the season yeah and staying on top of the rules or other couple of other teams slightly sniffing up on the rules and picking up penalties it wouldn’t have affected the overall outcome because dries van tour and charlevoix were just too good for that but experience is something you cannot buy it grows and certainly pay attention to everything and then it makes it far easier for the drivers to get their jobs done but for the new member of the flat cap society dries vancouver a pleasurable walk back down the pit lane to pit exit where the team wrt garage will be getting quite lively now but wonderfully socially distanced absolutely absolutely and let’s take a look at the points there’s confirmation victory by four points in the end over team of boguslavsky the young russian getting better and better through the season his teammate rafaeli martial didn’t do all the races so he is separated on points but still comes through for yet more championship honors in third place tamita and vanderlinder in the second of the wrt audis they’re moving up to fourth place with the strong finish their championship lucas stoltz and maro engel they came here and they really didn’t deliver this weekend unfortunately they were the championship challenges in second place it was close on points but at the end 29 points in arrears it really went away from them in the sun in spain unfortunately for them so it’s been an amazing sprint cup season we know our champions in all three classes but it’s the overall champions from team wrt remember their names dries venture and charles beards
